On behalf of the 2009 Local Arrangements Committee for the District 7 Annual General Meeting, I invite you to join us in Montréal for a dynamic series of technical presentations and social activities that will guarantee a memorable experience.

As with many professions, global shifts in perspectives require transportation specialists to lower the environmental impact of the ever-increasing need to move people and goods, without sacrificing efficiency or cost-effectiveness.

Our theme… Reshaping Transportation: Human Element and Sustainability will combine a series of technical presentations that represent urban living as it relates to traffic operations, increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of alternative transportation modes, implementing neighbourhood planning with smart growth initiatives, and integrating human factor considerations to name a few.
